Living out the miracle… that’s what I’m doing since I survived a half-ton tree limb when it fell on my car during the Ice Storm of 1994. Well, actually… I didn’t survive. I died that February day. When they did manage to resuscitate me, I was left in a coma for 31 days and my family was given very little hope by doctors that I would live. Luckily for my family and me, our source of hope came from elsewhere.

So yes, I am living out the miracle but, in a very real sense that is what we are all doing. It’s just that sometimes we don’t recognize it as such or sometimes we forget. Life is a precious gift and you need not experience a catastrophic event (be it accident, illness, man-made, or natural) to start living out your own miracle to its fullest, most blessed extent this very moment.
